LCD is a unique “bi-stable” technology that allows an image
to be displayed without any power. Once the image has been “written”
into the display power can be removed and the image is displayed indefinitely.
Power is only required during the process of changing the display information,
and therefore lends itself to battery operated system.
Because it is a reflective technology, it has excellent
viewing characteristics in bright sunlight. The viewing angle is exceptional,
and the panel can be mounted portrait or landscape.
